Finding the perfect home for a young family in an attractive neighbourhood at an affordable price is always a challenge, and the larger the family, the more difficult the search becomes. A large family not only needs extra bedroom space, but at least two separate living areas to give both children and adults their own space when needed. However, there are a few other issues to be considered before making an offer.
Location is still king when it comes to real estate, and one of the first things we suggest to prospective buyers, especially if they are not familiar with the area, is to move around to get a feel for the suburb. We point out the proximity of schools, recreation areas and shopping centres to the homes they are considering.
Our sales staff at All Residential Real Estate do their best to get as much information from a prospective family buyer as possible about the composition of the family, and what they are likely to need, both in a home and in the facilities surrounding it. While we can't always guarantee an absolutely perfect real estate find, we put in the effort to cover as many of the buyer's wants as possible.
Family Buyers Like Well Presented Areas
Once we have the location pinpointed, we then look for homes that are well presented and in an area where there are few rental houses. Families look for safe neighbourhoods where the children can all play together on footpaths, in parks and in big back yards. They are not comfortable in areas where new people are constantly coming and going.
Family buyers also like to keep their children active and often ask about bikeways. Many local authorities now are providing dedicated bike paths away from busy traffic so cyclists can move around the area. We often see family groups at the weekend or after school, cycling together with the adults teaching the children the road rules and everyone staying fit at the same time.
Good Neighbours Provide Security and Community
A bonus for families who move into a family-friendly neighbourhood is the extra support they can offer each other. Whether it is a regular school drop-off and pick-up roster, a place to hang out while a parent is at the shops or someone who can be relied on in an emergency, being surrounded by other families creates a comforting sense of security and community.
At All Residential Real Estate we have the best listings and our goal is to find your family the perfect house in the perfect location. Go to our website at www.realestatewollongongnsw.com.au for excellent photos of properties for sale in our area.
