14. What happens if I need to break my Lease?
If unforeseen circumstances arise, and you have to vacate prior
to the expiry of your Residential Tenancy Agreement, please note
the following:
- You need to advise us in writing
- You are responsible for and must pay rent until the property
is re-let to a suitable tenant or when your lease expires,
whichever may occur first
- We cannot start advertising the property, or showing
prospective tenants through until you have moved out, and all
keys have been returned. You may look for a tenant yourself, but
all applications must come through our office
- You will be required to pay a proportion of the expenses in
finding another tenant. This is usually a percentage of the
re-letting fee and advertising costs
