13. What do I do when I want to vacate the property?

If you intend to vacate at the end of your Residential Tenancy Agreement, you are required to give at least fourteen (14) days notice. If your lease has expired and you choose to vacate, you are required to give at least twenty one (21) days written notice. The 14 or 21 days are counted from the date our office receives your written notification.

At minimum you are responsible to pay your rent until all keys are returned to our office.

After you have handed the keys into our office after removing all your belongings, a vacating inspection will be carried out. Should the vacating inspection be satisfactory, and all keys were returned, your bond will be refunded to you. It takes approximately 14 days to receive your bond from the Office of Fair Trading.

Should any cleaning or repairs be required, this money will be deducted from the bond.
