12. What happens if I get behind with my rent payments?

At All Residential Real Estate, we understand that changes in circumstances can affect a tenants' ability to pay their rent. If you are experiencing difficulty at any time in paying your rent, please notify your property manager in writing straight away so that we may discuss your situation.

However, we maintain a zero tolerance policy with regard to rent arrears. Your payments must be up-to-date at all times otherwise your arrears history goes against you when renting again or obtaining a loan in the future. Our arrears management procedure is as follows:

  • We will contact you by SMS or phone
  • A rent reminder will also be sent to all tenants who are in arrears and recorded on your file. There will be no exceptions
  • When the rent is overdue by 14 days, a Termination Notice will be served. This is an extremely serious matter and may affect your ability to rent other properties
  • Eviction will be the consequence if you remain in arrears.

All Residential Real Estate is a member of the Tenancy Information Centre of Australia (TICA) and any breaches of the above will be reported.
